CMH participates in a specialized track for third year students only from Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP). Elective rotations outside of this track are based on availability and are open to other students from COMP as well as third year students from other programs. Students from other institutions must ensure that an affiliation agreement and letter of agreement are in place prior to the start of the rotation.
Does CMH accept international medical students?
CMH does not accept international students at this time.
Does CMH accept 4th year students for audition rotations?
Yes. Students may apply for audition rotations in Family Medicine, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Orthopaedic Surgery beginning January 15 through mid-February of the preceding year. If we are able to accommodate your request, you will be notified by the end of March.
My school does not have an affiliation agreement with CMH, will you still consider me for an audition rotation?
Audition rotation applications are open to all 4th year students from accredited Allopathic and Osteopathic institutions interested in Family Medicine, General Surgery, Internal Medicine and Orthopaedic Surgery. Final approval of the rotation will be dependent on affiliation agreements. An affiliation agreement and letter of agreement must be executed prior to the start of your rotation. Should your institution be interested in pursuing an agreement, please contact medicaleducation@cmhshealth.org.
Does CMH offer rotations for 4th year students (non-audition elective)?
Rotations for non-audition rotations may be requested in late fall for the second half of the academic year (January – June). Rotations are subject to availability. Please utilize the VSAS system to request these rotations.
