Internal Medicine

Thank you for your interest in our ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program at Community Memorial Healthcare. We are proud of our program, which offers an opportunity to learn medicine in a collegial environment that emphasizes academic excellence. Our small residency program allows for one-on-one faculty instruction with a diverse group of dedicated physicians with a wide breadth of experience. Residents develop strong diagnostic and treatment skills with the goal of becoming community leaders focused on compassionate care.

Our three-year training program has a structured core curriculum as well as elective rotations and community service opportunities. Residents train in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including continuity clinic, urgent care, and medical subspecialty clinics. Protected didactic time includes morning reports, board reviews, specialty-specific lectures, journal clubs, morbidity and mortality conferences, and skills labs.

Research is an integral part of our residency program. Our highly skilled research team and librarian help residents to develop their own research project and see it through to completion. Many of our residents present their scholarly work at ACP and ACOI conferences.

Our residency program is founded on values of compassion, quality, integrity, and teamwork. Through a strong commitment to our core values, lifelong learning, and patient care, we train independent physicians who are in the forefront of providing expert care in the community. If this program sounds like one where you will thrive, please explore our website.

Again, thank you for your interest.
