Residents are required to actively participate in scholarly work in both research and quality/performance improvement projects. Our dedicated Research Department supports residents throughout the research process, including research design, IRB approval, data collection, data analysis, and research dissemination through peer-reviewed journal articles and conference presentations. To help showcase our research, GME hosts a resident research forum.
GME provides residents the opportunity to present their research. Our residents have presented posters at national conferences, including the American College of Physicians (ACP); American College of Osteopathic Internist (ACOI); American Association of Liver Diseases National Conference; Digestive Disease Week; American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology; American Thoracic Society; and Society of General Internal Medicine – bringing home recent awards from both the ACP and the SCOI National Conferences.
